Person in charge of the protection of personal information
The president of FleetNord is responsible for the protection of personal information. For any question, request for access or correction, or complaint: [email protected]. We answer in writing within 30 days.
Who we are
FleetNord is fleet management software from Québec: maintenance, work orders, parts, fuel, inspections, compliance and accounting for heavy-vehicle fleets.
This website and the demo
- There is no account to create and no form to fill in on this site.
- The demo runs entirely in your browser. Its data is fictional and stays in your browser's local storage; it is never sent to us. You can erase it by clearing this site's data in your browser.
- We use no advertising, no tracking cookies and no audience-measurement tool.
- The site is hosted on our server in Québec (OVHcloud, Beauharnois) and uses Google Fonts. As with any website, Google receives your IP address and technical information about your browser in order to display the pages.
The FleetNord platform, for our clients
Our clients — trucking companies — use FleetNord to manage their vehicles and their staff. The information about their employees and drivers (name, contact details, employee number, licences, punch times, inspections, vehicle position when a GPS is connected) belongs to the client company, which is responsible for it. FleetNord processes it on the client's behalf, under a written agreement, and only to provide the service:
- Hosted in Québec. Our clients' data is hosted on servers located in Québec.
- Limited access. Each company has its own space; none can see another's data. Within each company, access follows the levels the client defines. Passwords are hashed and never kept in plain text; connections are encrypted (HTTPS).
- Encrypted backups every hour, with an off-site copy, kept on a set schedule and then destroyed.
- No other use. We do not sell, rent or use this information for any other purpose.
- Incidents. If a confidentiality incident occurs, we notify the client without delay and help it assess the risk, notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned when required, and keep its incident register.
- End of contract. When the contract ends, we hand the client its data in a structured, commonly used format, then destroy it, backups included, within the time set in the agreement.
If you are an employee or a driver of a client company, address requests for access, correction or portability to your employer; FleetNord gives it the tools to answer them.
Your rights
You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, receive it in a structured technological format, or withdraw your consent. Write to [email protected]. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Changes
We will update this policy as needed; the effective date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
